La Albergueria

We have four houses with individual capacity for four persons plus two extra, built on old installations.
 
We are in a forest estate of 300 hectares (3,000,000 m2) with some magnificent specimens of ancient oaks.

The properties are located in one of our valleys from which it takes its name from The Alberguería


The place name La Albergueria originated when, according to documentary evidence, in the fifteenth century there was a Pilgrims at the intersection of Guadalupe and Trujillo-Sevilla-Guadalupe roads latter pathway known as Seville .

This geographical vertex coincides with the location of our homes so that in all probability these must be built on the remains of the hostel.
 
It is very likely that at that hostel have passed such iconic figures as Miguel de Cervantes in his trip to Guadeloupe after his release from captivity in Oran to deliver their shackles, as a votive offering in gratitude to the Virgin Christopher Columbus in 1486 when he traveled from Seville to Guadalupe to meet with the Catholic Monarchs in demand for project aid and of course discoverers and conquerors of the New World.
